Overview

A new service called Piloxa is bridging the gap between digital artificial intelligence and physical postal proof. Designed specifically for AI agents and automated workflows, it transforms a finished digital document into a USPS Certified Mail package with verifiable tracking and record-keeping. The service operates through a remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector, allowing software to initiate the mailing process without human intervention during the execution phase.

However, the system is engineered to prevent autonomous spending. While an assistant can prepare the letter and generate a review link in a single call, the actual payment and approval must occur on a web page visited by a person. This design ensures that a machine cannot authorize a transaction or bypass human oversight, maintaining a clear audit trail between the digital draft and the physical mailed item.

How the Service Works

Piloxa functions as a mailing and record-keeping service operated by Decentralized Publishing LLC, based in Irvine, California. It is explicitly not a law firm and provides no legal advice, positioning itself strictly as an execution layer for documents that have already been written and reviewed. When an AI assistant completes a letter, demand, notice, or dispute, it can hand that finished text or PDF to Piloxa.

The process begins with a tool call that accepts the document and recipient details. Instead of printing or charging immediately, the tool returns a unique review link. A human user must open this link, inspect the exact pages, verify the recipient address, and confirm a single total price. Only after this human confirmation is the document printed on US Letter paper, folded, envelopeed, and handed to the Postal Service.

This architecture keeps the document, its cryptographic fingerprint, the printed address, and the mailing record linked together as one coherent evidence package. The service emphasizes that the document handed over as finished is printed exactly as written; Piloxa does not rewrite, edit, or interpret the text. Furthermore, it does not read conversation history or prior context—only the data explicitly passed to the tool is used for the mailing.

Tools and Connectivity

The connector is hosted at https://piloxa.com/mcp and communicates over HTTP using the Model Context Protocol. It is open to anonymous callers because the only immediate output of a tool call is a review link, requiring no API keys, OAuth tokens, or pre-existing accounts to connect.

The primary tool available is prepare_certified_letter. This single-call interface accepts the letter content, which can be provided as raw text or as bytes of a finished PDF. It also requires sender and recipient information. Upon execution, it returns a review link for the human user to finalize the order.

Piloxa does not support bulk marketing mail, same-day delivery requirements, or addresses outside the United States. The service is tailored for legal notices, demand letters, cancellation requests, or any scenario where proving that a specific document was sent to a specific address on a specific date is necessary.

Pricing and Service Tiers

The pricing model is transactional, with no subscriptions, memberships, or prepaid balances required. Every letter is a one-time payment, and the total charged is the total displayed on the review page before the user pays with a card. Costs increase slightly for documents with more than one page, and users are encouraged to request exact quotes rather than estimating.

The service offers four distinct tiers, each serving different evidentiary needs:

  • USPS Certified Mail (One Page): Priced at $12.97, this is the entry-level option. It covers printing, the envelope, postage, and the Certified Mail fee. It provides a mailing receipt and a tracking number but does not include proof of signature.
  • Certified Mail with Electronic Return Receipt (One Page): The default option at $15.97. This includes everything in the basic tier plus an electronic copy of the recipient’s signature. It is recommended for any letter that may be disputed later, as it confirms who signed for the item.
  • Evidence Pack (One Page): Priced at $24.21. This tier adds a Certificate of Mailing and seven years of retention. The package includes the document’s SHA-256 fingerprint, the authorized text, the USPS article number, every scan from the Postal Service, and the document itself byte-for-byte. It is designed for pre-lien notices, debt validations, or proof of loss claims where missing the notice would cost a legal right.
  • Deadline Notice (One Page): The most comprehensive option at $50.10. This includes the Evidence Pack features plus a second copy sent the same day via plain First-Class Mail. Additionally, the sender receives an email notification if the certified copy is unclaimed or refused, or if it remains undelivered after ten days. This service is critical when a refused or unclaimed notice triggers a lien, contract remedy, or claim deadline.

Letters typically arrive within two to five business days inside the United States. Certified Mail can be delivered to P.O. Boxes, where the box holder must sign for it. For long documents, the per-sheet cost is marginal, but the exact figure should always be verified through the quote_certified_letter tool before proceeding.
